IPDS AFP Printing Solutions

ExcelliPrint® receives IPDS files that have been converted by the Print Services Facility (PSF). Once the AFP data has been converted to IPDS, ExcelliPrint Premium is able to receive the IPDS and output to a PDF document. The PDF file can be sent to a printer or saved to a folder on your computer.

In this way, ExcelliPrint Premium functions as an efficient AFP to PDF converter. You can decide whether to spool your host system AFP data to any Windows®-based printer or save the jobs to file. The choice is yours.

Once ExcelliPrint creates the PDF, is the Text Searchable?

ExcelliPrint supports searchable text when the host system requests printer resident fonts. When fonts are downloaded to ExcelliPrint, the resulting output will contain glyphs representing each text character. These downloaded fonts, sometimes called host fonts, are not searchable.

AFP to PDF Conversion Advantages

IPDS Watermarks and PC Graphical Overlays

ExcelliPrint supports applying PC Graphical Overlays to IPDS spool files in PDF Format. These documents can be viewed and/or printed to PC printers.
